Training and Discipleship aim to better equip Christians to serve others. One of YWAM Vancouver’s main thrusts is to provide as many opportunities as possible for young people to be better equipped to serve others all over the world. The main avenue is through our YWAM Vancouver Discipleship Training School (DTS).
DTS is also a requirement for applying for staff, and serves as a prerequisite to all other training programs.
We also offer several second-level programs to help better equip you for going into leadership or long term missions. These courses include opportunities to explore your calling, what you are good at, and how you can better use your gifts on a global scale. Our School of Ministry and Leadership Development will help you get that “next step” and better prepare you for leadership and missions.
Another exciting option we have for you to explore is the Chronological School of Biblical Studies. This is a 9-month extensive course where you get to dive deeply into the word of God and travel through it in the order that the events unfolded. Learn how to study the Bible, and become better equipped for teaching and sharing the life giving Word.
If you are still looking for more options, YWAM offers training through the University of the Nations (U of N). Here, missionaries can study in specialized areas such as science and technology, linguistics, the humanities, and Christian ministry. Most YWAM schools combine classroom teaching with relationship-centered discipleship and practical service.
