Training and Discipleship aim to better equip Christians to serve others. One of YWAM Vancouver’s main goals is to provide as many opportunities as possible for young people to be better equipped to serve others all over the world with the love of Christ.
Discipleship Training School (DTS)
The purpose of the YWAM DTS is to help you get to know God, grow in your relationship with Him, and equip you to make Him known. DTS is the entryway into further involvement with YWAM, qualifying you for hundreds of volunteer opportunities.
Here at YWAM Vancouver we offer two varieties of DTS. Our main program (DTS) runs in both September and April, and has more of a focus on ministry within the city. Our newest option, the Snowboarders DTS, is geared towards those who love to get out on the slopes and are wanting to learn how to reach out and minister to those who share their passion for snowboarding or skiing.
DTS is also a requirement for applying to work with YWAM, and serves as a prerequisite to all other training programs.
Chronological School of Biblical Studies (CSBS)
Another exciting option we have for you to explore is the Chronological School of Biblical Studies. This is a 9-month extensive course where you get to dive deeply into the word of God and travel through it in the order that the events unfolded. Learn how to study the Bible, and become better equipped for teaching and sharing the life giving Word.
School of Ministry and Leadership Development (SOMLD)
If you've completed a DTS and are looking for the next step then this school might be what you're looking for. The SOMLD will give you the tools and knowledge you need to grow your ministry and further your relationship with God.
